Getting Started

You’ve got an agent now.

They like you. You like them.

Then you get your first job.

It’s an extra bit. Standard issue starting point.

You turn up to the set.

Don’t be nervous. You’re undergoing training and you were picked to be on-set.

Relax. Have a look around. Take it all in.

Do what you’re told to do.

Look after yourself on-camera whenever possible.

Try to look towards the camera (but not directly at it) so the viewers can see your face.

You may only be on-screen for a second or two. But we can’t recognize you from the back of your head.

Neither can the industry players, who may spot you for something coming up.

But most of all, have fun. Humour lights up many a set over the long hours of filming.
