It’s been an interesting term of classes with students learning a few things about performance technique, including how to make the camera your best friend, and not your worst enemy; and reciting the lines with the required energy and passion to make them real for the audience.
This upcoming term, we’ll also be recording some green screen scenes. I love working with green screen SFX and have been recording green screen scenes since 1990. All you need is the relevant background footage and the rest takes place within the safety and security of the acting studio. It takes a bit of effort to get the scenes recorded just right but at the end of the day it’s well worth the extra effort involved.
Class Dates
Term 2 classes return from Tuesday 23 through to Saturday 27 April.
I look forward to working with you again then.
Student News
Katy Tunbridge is killing it in Los Angeles, where she’s just recorded a new song for the pop/reggae album – Living the Dream.
Well done Katy!
Former student Saroya Roy is doing well too, shown here at an AFTA industry function with actor-director Simon Baker. The film Breath is a classic, in which Simon played the lead role of Sando along with directing the film.
Class Scenes
If you would like a copy of your on camera scenes, see me in class and I’ll organise it for you. Class scenes recorded to USB costs $60.00 per term’s work.
