Classes return from Tuesday 23 through to Saturday 27 April and I’m looking forward to working with our ongoing students, along with the new students commencing classes with us this term.
The popular Saturday mixed ages class – which runs in blocks of 8 week terms, not 10 as per all other classes – commences on 11 May (3:30 to 5:30 pm.)
We have a lot of fun and creative business lined up for the term – including the techniques of creating a strong on-screen presence, and more in-depth green screen work – and I’m looking forward to getting back into it after the holiday break.
In the meantime, some food for thought…
3 & 5 Year Screen Acting Certificates
Late last year and early this year saw a handful of impressively talented students achieve 3 year Screen Acting Certificate status.
Congratulations to Dion Rushbrook, Eden Donovan, Jess Reid, Grace Patterson and Megan Roggiero for completing three years of part-time screen studies.
Joining the above this coming term are Lakshay Dhiman, Ivana Covic and Molly Donnelly – three very talented and creative students.
Special congratulations are due to Tara Tuffy who has achieved the vaunted 5 Year part-time Screen Acting Certificate.
Miraculously surviving what could easily have been a fatal car accident quite a few years ago made this achievement no easy feat for Tara, as she still suffers physical ramifications from the accident.
Ever the determined trooper, Tara bravely battled on to achieve her goal and she did so with flying colours.
Well done Tara. You really are a “toughie” in both name and spirit.
Class Scene DVDs/USBs
If you would like an edited copy of your past term’s, or previous terms on-camera scenes, then give me a shout and I’ll organise it for you.
Class scene DVDs/USBs are a reliable means of further improving your technique and performance via further home study and also make for a great memento as the years go by.
With the school fast approaching 31 years in business, it’s touching to run into former students, some of whom were mere children when I tutored them, and to see them now as parents themselves with healthy young families of their own.
I’m looking forward to working with you all again next term and to meeting the new students when classes return from Tuesday 23 April.
