Spring is here! And to kick off the current newsletter some words of wisdom from master thespian Anthony Hopkins…
Term 3 has seen many new students commence classes at the school and the potential talent of the new students has been a real eye opener, with many classic scenes recorded by both our new and established students over the past 10 weeks. Well done everyone and keep up the good work!
Term Dates
Term 3 completes week ending Saturday 17 September.
Term 4 commences on Saturday 1 October after the two week Spring semester break.
Please note: My wife Vera and I are going overseas for a month over the Summer semester break to visit friends and family, therefore the first classes back for Term 4 are the Saturday Teen and Adult classes. Normally each term commences with the Tuesday classes, with the Saturday classes being the final classes back each term and the final classes to complete each term. Due to the fact that we fly out on Saturday 10 December, the Saturday classes will start first on 1 October and finish first on 3 December. Term 4 thereby completes on Thursday 8 December for this year.

Win Acting Jobs
If you are looking for an agent or have recently signed with an agency then this workshop is vital training for your ongoing success.
Acting on set with other actors under the guidance of a director is a completely different process to auditioning for roles. And if you don’t know the protocols and expectations of casting directors, then you will never win an audition and therefore never get the chance to show everyone how well you can act.
Your agent or potential agent will be impressed that you have completed Peter’s course and will therefore be more likely to put your name forward for screen tests/auditions.
The Book the Role master class with multi-award winning actor and director Peter Phelps will give you the skills and the edge you need to succeed.
Tutor Peter Phelps
Book the Role is a one day intensive workshop running on Sunday 30 October (10:30 am to 5:00 pm) The course fee is an affordable $195.
If you are a teen or adult student then Contact Us for further details.

Our Christmas parties are a fun and lively event where you never know who you may meet with the highlight invariably being the hilarious Bloopers Reel.
All students, family and friends are welcome and we hope to see as many of you as possible at the party! So roll up, roll up, have some fun and help us celebrate what has been a highly creative year for the school.
Student News
It’s always smarter to think outside the box. And that is exactly what Sonya Plummer has done – proving there are more ways to make a living as an actor than television drama, feature films and TVCs. Sonya has become one of the most in-demand actors on TVSN (Television Shopping Network) where she performs in everything from clothing to lifestyle to cosmetics infomercials.

Keep up the good work Sonya!
1995 graduate Robert Flanagan has been popping up all over the place playing a wide variety of roles in television drama and feature films – even appearing in online adverts for a men’s clothing label. Good to see your face all over the place Robert!

After establishing himself as a major player in the London theatre scene with his self-written and directed play, Torn Apart (Dissolution) 2001 graduate BJ O’Neill has taken the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland by storm with his new play The Rules of Inflation. Well done BJ and keep thumping that keyboard mate!

Class Scene DVDs
If you would like an edited DVD of your past term’s on-camera scenes then see me in class or email me and I will organize it for you.
Class scene DVDs are $50-00 per term’s scenes or the same price for a compilation of your favourite five scenes from current or previous term’s work.
Class scene DVDs are highly beneficial when it comes to improving your performance and technique via further home study.
To wrap up the September-October newsletter I’d like to wish you all a safe and productive semester break and I look forward to working with you again during Term 4.
