Classes return from Tuesday 29 January through to Saturday 2 February and I’m looking forward to working with our established students and the new students commencing classes with us this term.
Film Acting Master Class Review
The January film acting course produced the short film Death Duties.
Over two days of production on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 January the cast – Jai Miller, Anika Basa, Tara Tuffy and Ella Kramer – worked diligently on their roles, contributing some good creative ideas to the film.
Their hard work paid off, producing strong performances.
Well done to the cast for their contribution and for a fun and productive weekend. The film is now in post production, and I’m looking forward to editing the program.
Improvisation Master Class
Next up on the Master Class Program is the Improvisation master class with one of Sydney’s most experienced acting tutors, AFI winner Malcolm Frawley.
The course will run over two consecutive Sundays during early March with dates and times yet to be confirmed. Once confirmed, course flyers will be distributed in class and via email to our mailing list.
Malcolm’s workshop will be highly beneficial for those students who wish to take their performance and presentation skills to the next level by freeing the body of blocks, improving memory and recall, and sharpening responses and reactions to stimuli.

Heave ho, me hearties! Since graduating in 2007, and performing numerous small roles in film and TV drama, Jodie-Lea Campbell has found an ideal job for her acting and social skills as a Junior Assistant Cruise Director with Princess Cruises.

Jodie is currently cruising the Caribbean and one of her on-board roles is acting out scenes from movies so the passengers can try to guess which film it is – but as Jodie noted, “with a few twists to make guessing the film’s title just that little bit harder.”
Jodie’s acting and people skills along with her warm and welcoming personality make this an ideal gig for her. Well done Jodie!
